Them That's Got Shall Get
Every day I still talk to them
We talk and laugh of times past
Every day I set the table for them
Making sure to give them the right cup to drink from
I sit at the table and watch them
I spread my butter and I spread my jam
And we talk of great times and a smile cracks on my face

This is more than just a macro shot with my new Sigma 105mm. I thought that I would share this with you all.

A few Wednesday's ago, the day before I left for Vermont, my mother went in for some surgery that had been planned for a couple of months. I saw her on Wednesday night and she had been doing fine, despite her fear of surgery and hospitalization. Even though she looked good, she still was not her usual motherly self. You could obviously tell that the long surgery had taken a toll and that she was quite tired and weak. It was hard seeing someone close who is normally so active and strong be this way. Taken with an 81A filter on rested by tack on a book of some piano music. The heart shape was made by the fold in the book.

With the application of this toolwork art by using the red lens and a book of music, I love it. Combining one of my favorite colors and music with the underlining of love. Good usage, my friend.
